“Hello!” Johnny greeted, giving Taeil a handshake. “I’m Johnny.” He started training today - and his voice is awesome!” “Guys,” Nari grinned, shoving Taeil to the centre so everyone could see him. “This is Taeil. “Really?” Mark peaked from behind Johnny’s large form. “Yooo!” Nari called out. “I bring a new friend with us!” Nari entered the big practice room with a bang, startling everyone inside. “Oh!” Nari was surprised herself for not knowing each other’s names. “My name is Nari. “O-Okay,” A thought popped into his head that made him want to facepalm. “I never introduced myself…I’m Taeil.” Before they left, he was able to grab his bag next to the door before she shut the door after them. “We’re always accepting new people to our group. “Nonsense!” Nari waved off, already grabbing his hand to take him with her. “Ah…” Nari facepalmed. “Hey, all classes are over now,” she pointed behind her at the exit. “I’m planing to go to the Han River with some other trainees. Their conversation was cut off when Nari’s phone buzzed from a message. “Ah, well, thanks,” he smiled at her shyly.
“Yup!” she nodded happily. “With a voice like yours, you will definitely debut.”
“Really?” He tilted his head at her curiously. Now she understood why his smile was strained, and he looked conflicted. “Don’t worry,” she assured him confidently. “You’ll debut.” “Oh, wow,” Even though Nari recently came to Korea, she knew how difficult and competitive the music majors are in Korea - especially in Hanyang. “You sacrificed a lot,” she acknowledged. You see, I got accepted at Hanyang for their music course…” “It is,” he nodded, “But like…it was a big sacrifice. She noticed his strained smile. “…not good?” “Through a singing competition,” he replied. “They scouted me there,” “Only around a year, almost two,” she answered. “You’re new, right? I’ve never seen you around…” “Oh,” he was surprised. “How long have you been training?” From all I know, only the two of us know this room.” “Oh, it’s not!” she rushed, waving her hands rapidly. “I wanted to listen, was all! This room is actually abandoned and not much people know it. “It’s okay,” the boy scratched the back of his neck awkwardly. “I didn’t know this room was booked…” “Sorry,” she murmured. “I couldn’t help but hear your voice from outside and was curious…” He was quite handsome, in her opinion, though he wasn’t her type heheh you know who is though? Nari smiled awkwardly, giving a shy bow. He was young, maybe around her age, she gathered. The beautiful voice stopped, and the person turned around to her sheepish form. Nari could see herself making a beautiful soundtrack to match his voice.Įntranced from his voice, Nari accidentally leaned forward to the point she accidentally made the door open wider with a loud creak. His voice was very loud, strong, and beautiful. He was singing acoustic without any background music, facing the mirror. Nari crept to the door and peaked her head in to see the person’s back facing her. The door was opened slightly to the practice room, that’s why she could hear the person’s voice. No one knew about it except her - but now this new trainee. She was surprised a new trainee found the place she would usually hide at for some peace and quiet. It led to an empty practice room that not many people use. A new trainee.Ĭurious, Nari tilted her head slightly while walking, trying to follow the voice. It wasn’t a voice she heard before during her time at SM, this was new. While she was heading to meet the others, she heard a beautiful voice that made her pause. She doens’t know exactly how or why she felt it, but she believed it. Honestly, Nari could feel it that something was happening, that they might be debuting in the future. It was a long, typical day at SM, but it was okay. Nari closed the door to the practice room while whistling, adjusting her backpack on her shoulder. “Okay,” the two Japanese speakers gave him a thumbs up before the American left. “Great!: Johnny beamed. “Well, after our practices today, we’ll meet up at the big practice room, okay?” “I was going to say yes, anyways, you dork,” she shoved him lightly. He whipped his head to glare at Nari jokingly. “You’re coming, no excuse.” Yuta perked up at the mention of nature. “You in?” “Well, after practice today the others and I want to go to the Han River for a bit to chill,” Johnny explained. Nari simply rolled her eyes at his behaviour. Yuta slyly grabbed her homework, copying the answers on his empty sheet. “What’s up?” Nari asked, putting down her pencil. Yuta gave a lazy peace sign as a reply. “Since both of you are here, it makes things easier.” “Yo, Nari!” Johnny popped his head inside the small room she was studying in with Yuta. “Oh, hey Yuta!” Johnny greeted. A/N: Nari hears a beautiful voice from one of the practice rooms and goes to investigate.
